WHY BECOME A MEMBER?

Becoming a member of the 100 offers many rewarding benefits such as:

  • Serve as a mentor to African-American youth and serve as a catalyst to empower them to reach their full potential
  • Become a Leader in the community
  • Build a network with like-minded professionals
  • Improve leadership, public speaking, and relationship building skills 

ELIGIBILITY

Any male, who is 25 years of age or older and a resident of Metro Baton Rouge, of good character, and dedicated to the purposes of this organization shall be eligible for regular membership upon approval of his application by the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors and payment of such dues and fees. All applications for membership must be sponsored by a current active member in good standing.

MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

All members are expected to pay dues at the beginning of each fiscal year (July 1st). Dues for members under 30 and over 60 (and retired) are $250 on an annual basis after initial membership dues and fees. Dues for all other members are $350 on an annual basis after initial membership dues and fees.

All members are expected to commit to volunteering at least 20 hours to the organization. The hours can be utilized via mentoring programs, committee meetings, or other organization activities.
