100 Black Men of Metro BR is committed to ensuring every African-American students graduate from high school with a college-ready ACT test score!
Our ACT Prep Program is designed to improve ACT test scores, as well as aid African-American youth in gaining greater access to Louisiana TOPS funding and other scholarship opportunities. Utilizing MasteryPrep’s curriculum, our ACT Prep program has proven to increase students’ overall composite scores, reduce test anxiety and help equip youth with effective test-taking strategies.
The following Spring 2023 program offering will be held at Southern University (T.T. Allain Hall):
- 8-week ACT Prep Course
- 1-Day Boot Camp (Sat, March 11th)
**REGISTRATION IS OPEN**
The cost of the Boot Camp is $100. Upon completion of this registration form, proceed to pay the $100 registration fee using the link provided. (Note: Fees do not apply to youth participating in our Project Excel mentoring program).

Application Period: Varies. Multiple ACT prep programs are held throughout the calendar year.
Eligibility: This program is open to students (male and female) in grades 9 – 12. On a limited basis, youth in the 8th grade may be accepted to participate in the program. There is a $100 registration fee for the 8-week course and 1-day Boot Camp. Transportation is the responsibility of parents. Students may register for one or more of the below program offerings during the fall, spring and summer sessions:
- 8-week in-person course
- 1-day Boot Camp
- College Playbook workshops
